What is BankConv?

Is BankConv free?

You can convert your first statement without signing up: the first 5 pages are converted free so you can check the rows. Downloading needs a free account, which also gives you 5 free pages a day. Longer statements cost from $2.99 each, or you can subscribe.

Which banks does it work with?

BankConv works with statements from 1,000+ banks worldwide, including Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Barclays, HSBC, CommBank and BNP Paribas. BankConv reads the table layout on the page rather than relying on one template per bank, so most text-based PDF statements convert.

What formats can I download?

Excel, CSV, Google Sheets, OFX or QFX. Pick OFX or QFX to import straight into accounting software or Quicken without mapping columns.

What happens to my statement after I upload it?

It is read, turned into rows, and deleted automatically after 24 hours along with the converted files. BankConv never connects to your bank and never asks for your banking password.

Can it read password-protected or scanned PDFs?

Yes. Enter the PDF password when you upload; it is used once and not stored. Scanned statements saved as PDF are read with OCR, and clear, straight scans give the best results.

How do I know the numbers are right?

Every converted statement is checked against its own balances: opening balance plus credits minus debits must equal the closing balance. You also see the first pages free before paying.

Why not just paste my statement into ChatGPT?

You can, but chatbots can skip, merge or invent rows without telling you, and you are pasting financial data into a general-purpose tool. BankConv is built only for bank statements, converts the whole document page by page, and deletes files after 24 hours.
