Convert BBVA México statements to Excel or CSV
Movements on bbva.mx usually reach back only about two months, so anything older comes from the PDF estado de cuenta in the app or on bbva.mx. Each movement carries two dates, operation and settlement, plus cargos, abonos and two balance columns. BankConv keeps those columns when it converts the PDF to Excel, CSV or Google Sheets.

Do you need to convert at all?
BBVA México gives the estado de cuenta as a PDF, and for many accounts also an XML fiscal file (CFDI). Online banking lets you consult recent movements, but there is usually no spreadsheet export of a full statement.
Movements on bbva.mx usually go back about two months. The XML is a fiscal document, not a transaction spreadsheet. Older months come from the PDF estados de cuenta.

What to know about BBVA México PDFs
- Two dates per movement
- The movements table usually has FECHA OPER (operation date) and FECHA LIQ (settlement date), printed as day and short Spanish month, such as 06/SEP, with no year. Card purchases can settle a day or two later. Pick one date for bookkeeping and add the year from the statement period.
- Cargos and abonos, plus two balance columns
- Money out sits under CARGOS and money in under ABONOS, both positive. The balance is split into OPERACIÓN and LIQUIDACIÓN, and it is often shown only on some rows. Blank balance cells are normal.
- SPEI transfers on several lines
- SPEI transfers usually add lines under the description with the sending bank, reference and tracking key (clave de rastreo). Check that these joined the right movement instead of becoming new rows.
Converting a BBVA México estado de cuenta
BBVA’s PDF estado de cuenta is usually text-based. The movements table (Detalle de Movimientos) converts row for row, with amounts in pesos (MXN) using a decimal point. The first pages hold the account summary and notices; only the movements table becomes rows.
- Download the PDF estados de cuenta from the BBVA app or bbva.mx.
- Upload them to BankConv.
- Check the rows, then export Excel or CSV.
What to check
The account summary on the first page lists the saldo anterior, total abonos, total cargos and saldo final. Use it to check the conversion yourself.
- Sum Cargos and Abonos and compare them with the summary totals.
- Check that saldo anterior + abonos − cargos = saldo final.
- Add the year to each date, especially on statements that cross into January.
To load the rows into CONTPAQi or Alegra, import the CSV through their bank movements import. Files are deleted after 24 hours; see security. Other Mexican banks are on the Mexican banks page.

BBVA México statement questions
Can I download a BBVA México estado de cuenta in Excel?
Not directly. BBVA provides the estado de cuenta as PDF, and often an XML fiscal file. Convert the PDF in BankConv to get Excel or CSV with one row per movement.
Can I import the result into CONTPAQi or Alegra?
BankConv exports CSV and Excel. CONTPAQi and Alegra can generally import bank movements from a spreadsheet file; map the date, description, cargo and abono columns in their import screen.
Which date should I use, Fecha Oper or Fecha Liq?
Most people use the operation date for bookkeeping and keep the settlement date for matching. Use the same one consistently across months.
