Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the BankConv website, web app, REST API and Google Sheets add-on (together, the “Service”), operated by BankConv (“BankConv”, “we”, “us”). By uploading a statement, creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The service

BankConv converts bank statement PDFs into structured data you can download as CSV, Excel or JSON, or send to Google Sheets. The Service is provided through:

• The website at https://bankconv.com, where you can convert a statement without an account
• The web app at https://app.bankconv.com
• The REST API at https://bankconv.com/api/v1
• The “BankConv for Google Sheets” add-on, distributed through the Google Workspace Marketplace

Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials, API keys and OAuth tokens confidential, and for all activity under your account. Tell us at support@bankconv.com straight away if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable use

Use the Service only for documents you own or are explicitly authorized to process. You will not:

• Upload documents containing data you have no lawful right to process
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape or overload the Service
• Use the Service to commit fraud, money laundering or any other illegal activity
• Share your account, API key or OAuth tokens with third parties
• Interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, or that we reasonably believe are being used in a disruptive or abusive way.

Your documents and results

You keep all rights to the documents you upload and to the data extracted from them. You give us permission to process them only to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. Uploaded documents and their results are deleted automatically after the retention window described there.

Conversions are produced automatically and can contain errors. Check the results against the original statement before you rely on them for accounting, tax, lending or any other decision.

Google Sheets add-on

When you authorize the BankConv for Google Sheets add-on, you allow it to show its sidebar inside Google Sheets and to call the BankConv REST API on your behalf. The add-on works only on the spreadsheet you have open (@OnlyCurrentDoc) and only contacts https://bankconv.com/api/. You can disconnect it at any time from the sidebar or by revoking access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Your use of the add-on is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how Google user data is handled.

Free use, subscriptions and one-time unlocks

You can preview the first pages of a document for free, within the limits shown on the pricing page. Beyond that, you can pay once to unlock a single document, or subscribe to a plan.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly. Each page of a converted PDF uses one page of your plan’s allowance. Allowances reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over. A one-time unlock is charged at the price shown before you pay.

Refunds

Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable. If something went wrong with a conversion, write to us and we will look at refund requests case by case.

Service availability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that conversions will be free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BankConv’s total liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates legal or operational risk. On termination, we delete or anonymize your data as described in our Privacy Policy, except where the law requires us to keep it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes are announced by email or in-product notice at least seven days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of BankConv is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and disputes will be resolved in its competent courts. This does not remove any protection you have under the consumer law of the country where you live.
