Convert TD Canada Trust statements to Excel or CSV

TD's EasyWeb download only reaches recent account activity, so older months mean downloading PDF statements from EasyWeb or the TD app. BankConv converts each PDF to Excel, CSV or Google Sheets; expect to reorder the columns, since TD puts the description before withdrawals, deposits and the date.

  1. 1.Sign in to EasyWeb (td.com) or the TD app.
  2. 2.Select the account name at the top of the screen, then Statements and Documents.
  3. 3.Choose the account under Get statements & documents by account, and use Filter by year.
  4. 4.Open each statement and select the save icon or download arrow to keep the PDF.

Do you need to convert at all?

EasyWeb usually lets you download account activity from the account page, with a spreadsheet (CSV) option and formats for money and accounting software such as Quicken and QuickBooks.

Recent activity only, for a short date range or a single month, from EasyWeb on a computer. The CSV may have no header row. Statements go back up to 7 years as PDF.

What to know about TD Canada Trust PDFs

The date column comes after the amounts
TD chequing statements usually print Description first, then Withdrawals, Deposits, Date and Balance. Dates look like MAR03, with no year. Move the date column to the front and convert it to a real date before importing.
Overdrawn balances use a suffix
A negative balance is usually marked with OD after the amount rather than a minus sign. Turn OD balances into negative numbers before you check totals.
Balance forward lines
The table usually starts with a starting balance line, and long statements carry the balance between pages. Exclude these lines when you sum withdrawals and deposits.

Converting TD Canada Trust statements

TD statements are typically text-based PDFs, and each transaction ends up as one row. The column order is the main thing to fix afterwards. Use the PDFs for any month older than the EasyWeb activity download reaches, or when a lender or accountant wants complete statements.

  1. Save the PDF statements from Statements and Documents in EasyWeb.
  2. Upload them to BankConv.
  3. Check the rows, then export Excel, CSV or Google Sheets.

Before you import

Most accounting software expects date first, then description and amount. Reorder the columns, then check the totals against the PDF.

  • Move Date to column A and convert MAR03-style values into full dates.
  • Turn OD balances into negative numbers.
  • Sum Withdrawals and Deposits, excluding balance lines, and compare with the statement.
  • Confirm the last balance matches the closing balance.

If you also have a TD savings account or line of credit, each one has its own statement. Convert them separately so the rows stay apart.

Usually yes, for recent activity, from the account page in EasyWeb. For older months, save the PDF statements and convert them in BankConv to CSV or Excel.

How far back can I get TD statements in EasyWeb?

TD says EasyWeb shows up to 7 years of past statements. Filter by year, save each PDF, and upload up to 10 at a time.

Is this the same as TD Bank in the US?

No. TD Canada Trust and US TD Bank use different online banking and statement layouts. This page covers TD Canada Trust statements; the same PDF-to-CSV steps apply to US TD Bank, but the layout differs.

How do I turn MAR03 into a date in Excel?

Add the statement year and convert it, for example =DATEVALUE(RIGHT(D2,2)&"-"&LEFT(D2,3)&"-2026"). Check January rows on a statement that spans two years.
