Convert Société Générale statements to Excel or CSV

Société Générale offers a CSV download of operations on professional accounts only. For personal accounts and older months, download the relevé de compte PDF from the Documents section of the SG Espace Client or L'Appli SG; BankConv converts it to Excel, CSV or Google Sheets with value date, debit and credit columns.

  1. 1.Log in to your SG Espace Client (particuliers.sg.fr) or L'Appli SG.
  2. 2.Open the Documents section and choose rechercher un relevé.
  3. 3.Select the account and a period (searches cover up to 3 months at a time).
  4. 4.Download each PDF relevé.

Do you need to convert at all?

Professional clients can usually download a Relevé de compte CSV from the Téléchargement section, and a CFONB file for accounting software, which may be charged. Personal accounts mainly offer the relevé as PDF.

The CSV and CFONB downloads are on the professional site, and CFONB files may be capped in size. Personal relevés are PDF, kept online for up to 10 years.

What to know about Société Générale PDFs

French number format
Amounts use comma decimals and space thousands separators (for example 2 100,00). Make sure converted amounts are numbers, not text, before you total them.
Labels with reference lines
Transfers and direct debits often add extra lines under the label, such as DE, MOTIF or REF. Check that these joined the operation they belong to instead of becoming separate rows.
Solde lines and totals
The relevé usually opens with the previous balance (solde précédent) and ends with a total of operations and the new balance (nouveau solde). Exclude them from your sums and use them as check figures.

Converting a Société Générale relevé de compte

SG relevés are usually text-based PDFs, and each operation turns into one row. Card lines usually include the card number and purchase date in the label, which helps when you match receipts.

  1. Download the PDF relevés from Documents in your Espace Client.
  2. Upload them to BankConv.
  3. Check the rows, then export Excel or CSV.

Pro CSV, CFONB or PDF?

For a professional account, the built-in CSV is fine for recent operations. CFONB suits accounting software that reads it. The converted PDF is the route for personal accounts, older months, or a file that matches the relevé your accountant sees.

What to check

  • Sum Débit and Crédit, excluding the solde lines.
  • Check that solde précédent + credits − debits = nouveau solde.
  • Confirm amounts are numbers, not text.
  • Spot-check a few transfers to make sure the DE and MOTIF lines stayed with them.

Pennylane, Cegid and EBP can usually import the CSV directly. If your tool wants OFX, download OFX from BankConv instead of CSV. Other banks are on the French banks page.

Can I download Société Générale operations as CSV?

Professional accounts usually can, from the Téléchargement section. For personal accounts and older months, download the PDF relevé de compte and convert it in BankConv.

Can I import the converted file into Pennylane, Cegid or EBP?

BankConv exports CSV and Excel. Pennylane, Cegid and EBP can generally import a bank CSV; map the date, label and amount columns and set comma decimals in the import settings.

Why can I only search 3 months of relevés at a time?

That is how the SG Documents search works. Run several searches to collect a full year, then upload the PDFs to BankConv in batches of up to 10.
