Convert State Bank of India statements to Excel or CSV
To convert an SBI bank statement PDF to Excel, download it from OnlineSBI or YONO, or save the e-statement SBI emailed you, then upload it to BankConv, enter the PDF password if asked and download Excel, CSV or Google Sheets. SBI's password depends on the channel. Download your SBI account statement
- 1.Log in to OnlineSBI (onlinesbi.sbi) or the YONO SBI app.
- 2.On OnlineSBI, look under My Accounts & Profile for Account Statement. In YONO, open the account and look for the statement or e-statement option.
- 3.Choose the account and the period, then download the statement as PDF, or request it by email.
- 4.If it arrives by email, save the PDF attachment.
- 5.Upload the PDF to BankConv. You can convert up to 10 statements in one batch.
Do you need to convert at all?
OnlineSBI can show an account statement for a period you choose and usually offers it as PDF or Excel. For a recent period from your own login, the Excel download may be enough.
Statements SBI emails on request, through YONO or by SMS, come as password-protected PDFs, and branch-printed statements are paper or scans. Those, and PDFs from clients, need converting.

What to know about State Bank of India PDFs
- BY TRANSFER and TO TRANSFER
- SBI descriptions usually begin with BY TRANSFER for money in and TO TRANSFER for money out, followed by UPI, NEFT or IMPS detail. Filter the description column on these words to split credits and debits quickly.
- Two dates and a reference column
- SBI statements usually print Txn Date, Value Date, Description, Ref No./Cheque No., Debit, Credit and Balance. Book on Txn Date. Keep the reference column as text in Excel so long UPI numbers keep every digit.
- Date style depends on where you downloaded
- Depending on the channel, dates may print as 01 Mar 2026 or 01/03/2026. Both are day first. After converting, sort by date and check the first and last rows match the statement period.
- Branch statements are often scans
- A statement printed at a branch and scanned is an image, not text. BankConv reads it with OCR, and a clear, straight scan works best. Check amounts closely on scanned pages.
SBI bank statement password
SBI uses a different password for each channel. SBI’s official customer care account confirmed these formats in January 2026:

If an emailed statement won’t open, check that you’re using the mobile number registered with SBI. BankConv asks for a password only if the file has one.
