Convert ING Australia statements to Excel or CSV
ING Australia statements come as PDFs from Statements, then View statements in Online Banking, and an interim statement gets you transactions up to today. Convert them in BankConv to Excel, CSV or Google Sheets; card purchases keep their long descriptions, receipt numbers included, in one cell. This works for Orange Everyday and Savings Maximiser accounts.

- 4.Repeat for each period.
Do you need to convert at all?
ING Online Banking usually lets you export the transaction list for an account. Statements, including an interim statement up to the latest date, come as PDF.
The export covers transactions only, without the statement's opening and closing balances. For past periods and anything you need to show a third party, use the PDF statements.

What to know about ING Australia PDFs
- Long descriptions with receipt numbers
- ING descriptions are usually long. A card purchase often includes a receipt number, the merchant, the purchase date and the last digits of the card in one cell. Split the merchant out in your spreadsheet if you want to categorise.
- Two dates on card purchases
- The Date column is when the transaction was processed, while the date inside the description is usually when you made the purchase. Weekend card payments can land a day or two later, which matters at month and financial-year end.
- Interim statements
- You can choose Interim statement (most recent statement) to get a PDF up to today, rather than waiting for the period to end. That's useful when a lender asks for recent transactions.
How to get ING statements into Excel
ING statements are PDFs. For a spreadsheet of any past period, download the statements and convert them.
- Download the PDF for each period from Statements, then View statements.
- Upload them to BankConv.
- Check the rows, then export Excel, CSV or Google Sheets.
If you hold an Orange Everyday and a Savings Maximiser, convert both. Transfers between them show on each statement, once as a debit and once as a credit.
What to check after converting
ING statements are usually text-based PDFs, so the work is in reviewing the data. Check these before you import:
- Balances: the last balance should match the closing balance on the PDF.
- Totals: compare total debits and credits with the statement summary.
- Transfers: mark transfers between your own ING accounts so they aren’t counted twice.
- Dates: set your spreadsheet to DD/MM/YYYY before you import.

Can I get an ING statement for the current month?
Yes. Choose Interim statement (most recent statement) as the period to get a PDF up to the latest date.
