Convert Crédit Mutuel statements to Excel or CSV

Crédit Mutuel shows only the last two months of movements online, but keeps relevés de compte for 10 years under Services, then Documents et Contrats. To get a full year of operations into Excel, CSV or Google Sheets, download those PDF relevés and convert them with BankConv.

Do you need to convert at all?

Crédit Mutuel's help pages for personal customers describe searching and viewing operations online, not downloading them as a file. Business customers with CMUT Direct Pro can retrieve account files through the Transferts web service.

Only the last two months of movements can be viewed online. Beyond that, Crédit Mutuel points you to your relevés de compte, which download as PDF and are kept for 10 years.

What to know about Crédit Mutuel PDFs

Two months of history online
Crédit Mutuel says only the last two months of movements can be consulted online. For anything older, the relevé PDF is your only record in the espace client, so converting it is the practical way to get a full year into a spreadsheet.
French number format
Amounts use a comma for decimals and a space for thousands (1 890,00). Open the CSV with a French locale, or check that converted amounts are numbers rather than text before you sum them.
Operation date and value date
Each line usually carries the operation date and a separate value date (Date valeur). Card payments often settle a day or two after the purchase, so use the operation date for bookkeeping and keep the value date as a reference.
Wording varies by regional federation
Crédit Mutuel is organised in regional federations, so headings and label wording can differ slightly from one relevé to another. Look for the opening solde, the totals and the closing solde, and leave those lines out of any sum.

Converting a Crédit Mutuel relevé de compte

Crédit Mutuel relevés downloaded from online banking are usually text-based PDFs, so each operation converts to one row. Because the espace client only shows two months of movements, the relevés are where a full year of operations lives. Card payments (CB lines) usually include the purchase date in the label, which helps when you match receipts.

  1. Download the PDF relevés from Documents et Contrats or in the app.
  2. Upload them to BankConv, up to 10 at a time.
  3. Check the rows, then export Excel or CSV.

Checking the result

The relevé usually has no balance on each line, so check with the solde lines and totals instead.

  • Sum Débit and Crédit, leaving out the solde and totals lines, and compare with the totals at the bottom.
  • Check that opening solde + credits − debits = closing solde. With an opening solde of 1 204,15, the sample rows above give 2 897,74.
  • Confirm every amount is a number, not text.

Most French accounting tools, such as Pennylane, Cegid or EBP, can import a bank CSV. If yours wants OFX, download OFX from BankConv instead of CSV. Other French banks are on the French banks page.

Crédit Mutuel statement questions

Can I download Crédit Mutuel operations as CSV?

Crédit Mutuel's help pages don't describe a CSV or Excel export for personal accounts, and online history only covers the last two months. Download the PDF relevés de compte and convert them in BankConv to get CSV or Excel.

How far back can I get Crédit Mutuel relevés?

Crédit Mutuel says relevés are stored securely for 10 years. If one is no longer available in your espace client, ask your caisse for a copy.

Why are my Crédit Mutuel amounts text in Excel?

The relevé uses comma decimals and space separators. Open the CSV with a French locale, or replace commas with points and remove spaces before converting to numbers.
