Convert Citi statements to Excel or CSV
A single Citibank statement often covers every linked checking and savings account, each with its own activity table, and the PDF is the record for any month older than Citi Online's activity download reaches. BankConv converts it to Excel, CSV or Google Sheets with the amount subtracted and amount added columns. Check the account heading on each table so rows don't mix.

Download your Citibank statement
- 1.Sign in to Citi Online (citi.com) or the Citi Mobile app.
- 2.Look for Statements (often under the account or a Statements and Documents menu).

Do you need to convert at all?
Citi Online usually lets you download recent account activity from the account details page, with a spreadsheet (CSV) option and formats for money and accounting software such as Quicken and QuickBooks.
Recent activity only, from Citi Online on a computer. Past statements are PDF; older ones may need to be requested and can take a day or two to appear.
Citi export formats: CSV, QFX, QBO
What to know about Citi PDFs
- One statement, several accounts
- Citibank statements often cover all linked accounts, with a relationship summary first and then a separate activity table for each checking and savings account. Check the account heading above each table so rows from different accounts don't mix.
- Amount subtracted and amount added
- Checking activity usually splits money out and money in into two columns, both positive. Keep them separate, or build one signed Amount column (added minus subtracted) for import.
- Dates without a year
- Dates usually print as MM/DD, such as 09/04. The year comes from the statement period, so check rows on a December–January statement.
Converting Citibank statements
Citibank statements are usually text-based PDFs, so each transaction should come out as its own row. A statement can hold several accounts, so it may be longer than you expect. Use the PDFs for any month older than the Citi Online activity download reaches, or when a lender wants full statements.
- Download the PDF statements from Citi Online.
- Upload them to BankConv.
- Check the rows, then export Excel, CSV or Google Sheets.
What to check before you import
Each account’s activity table starts with a beginning balance and ends with an ending balance. Those are your check figures.
- Split rows by account if the statement covers more than one.
- Sum Amount Subtracted and Amount Added per account and compare them with the summary.
- Confirm beginning balance + added − subtracted = ending balance.
- Add the year to each date.
For QuickBooks, see QuickBooks import. If your software wants OFX, download OFX from BankConv instead of CSV. Other banks are on the US banks page.

Can I download Citi transactions as CSV?
Usually yes, for recent activity, from Citi Online on a computer. For older months, download the PDF statements and convert them in BankConv to CSV or Excel.
Why does my Citi statement include my savings account?
Citibank often combines linked accounts in one statement, with a table per account. BankConv converts every table; filter by account in your spreadsheet before importing.
