Convert Banamex statements to Excel or CSV
BancaNet gives each estado de cuenta as a PDF or an XML file, but the XML is the fiscal CFDI, not a list of movements, so the PDF is the one to convert. BankConv turns it into Excel, CSV or Google Sheets with withdrawals, deposits and balance in their own columns. BancaNet usually shows up to 12 months, and older statements may still say Citibanamex.

Do you need to convert at all?
In BancaNet you choose the month and the file type, PDF or XML, for each estado de cuenta. The XML is the fiscal version (CFDI) of the statement.
BancaNet usually shows up to 12 months of estados de cuenta. For debit and checking accounts, downloading asks for your NetKey code. Neither file is a spreadsheet.

What to know about Banamex PDFs
- PDF or XML
- The XML (CFDI) is meant for tax filing and accounting software that reads fiscal files. For a spreadsheet of movements, download the PDF and convert it.
- Emailed statements are password protected
- If your estado de cuenta arrives by email, the PDF is usually locked with an access key (llave de acceso). BankConv accepts password-protected PDFs; the password is used once and never stored.
- Older statements say Citibanamex
- Statements from before the rebrand carry the Citibanamex name and may have a slightly different layout. BankConv reads the table on the page, so both convert, but check the column order on each.
Converting a Banamex estado de cuenta
The Banamex estado de cuenta is usually a text-based PDF. The first page holds the account summary; the movements table converts row for row, with amounts in pesos (MXN) using a decimal point.
- Download the PDF estados de cuenta from BancaNet.
- Upload them to BankConv, up to 10 at a time.
- Check the rows, then export Excel or CSV.
What to check
The account summary lists the saldo anterior, total deposits, total withdrawals and saldo final. Use it to check the conversion yourself.
- Sum Retiros and Depósitos and compare them with the summary totals.
- Check that saldo anterior + depósitos − retiros = saldo final. With a saldo anterior of 15,300.00, the sample rows above end at 18,736.60.
- Add the year to each date, especially on statements that cross into January.
To load the rows into CONTPAQi or Alegra, import the CSV through their bank movements import. Files are deleted after 24 hours; see security. Other Mexican banks are on the Mexican banks page.
